Founded in 1914, Interboro Insurance is the oldest insurance company domiciled on Long Island. Interboro writes homeowners insurance in New York through a network of over 500 independent brokers. Interboro is also licensed to write business in Alabama, Louisiana, the District of Columbia, and South Carolina, but no products are available in those states.

Claims Philosophy

Interboro’s claims department handles all claims in accordance with state regulations. Any person who presents a claim is entitled to courteous and fair treatment from our claims representatives. The claims professional assigned to the claim will work diligently to establish and foster an atmosphere of equitable and efficient claims handling. It is the intention of Interboro’s claims department to promptly process all claims, to pay what we owe, and to protect the rights of our policyholders by investigating each loss completely, thoroughly, and with the highest regard for customer service.
